At Safe Space Counselling we believe that being empathetic, accepting and having a safe space helps teens, young adults and adults grow, cope, learn important life skills and live happy thriving lives.

We also believe in fostering self-reliance; through teaching important life skills like problem solving, decision making, coping skills etc. We aim to foster this through a collaborative-facilitative approach; with unique, proven interventions and therapies tailor-made for each individual. Through affordable online therapy we aim to provide much needed psychological therapy for more individuals.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide a safe space for adolescents and adults through acceptance, understanding and empathetic listening, helping people to vent out and express. This helps individuals gain important insights,  move towards learning skills and solving their concerns.

We also believe in building resources to whom the client can go for support in times of need.

Our aim of therapy will always be to prepare the individual to handle situations independently by teaching skills to foster self-reliance.

We give importance to tailor-making interventions in our therapy because one size doesn’t fit all and every person is unique, ensuring the best care possible for every client.

How to Book your Therapy Session

Go to the Book A Session Page and submit the form. Or you can contact us through the wix app, text on whatsApp or Instagram or call; whichever you prefer.

STEP-2

Give us sometime to respond. We will get back to you as soon as possible. 

STEP-3

We can discuss and set up a date and time for  therapy sessions. Discuss your preferred mode of online therapy/counselling and pricing.

STEP-4

On the set date and time; you and your psychologist can start off your journey towards flourishing!

What to Expect from Counselling

AWARENESS AND Insight

Counselling helps build awareness. Being aware of what is going on can build insights as to how and what can be done. Having such awareness can help individuals think and respond differently which can change behavior and patterns; which will help solve the problem.  

Listening

Everybody needs someone who they can talk to; who will listen with the intent to understand them, accept them non-judgmentally. Counselling session is that space and Safe Space Counselling was formed to provide people that understanding, acceptance and empathy. Because, we believe everybody deserves a Safe Space.

Self-Reliance and SELF-ESTEEM

Counselling helps build self-reliance. It teaches important life skills; helping individuals handle situations and concerns, hence, build independence, reliance and confidence.

Therapy also builds self-esteem through proven interventions that help individuals to accept and be gentle with themselves and move towards confidence.  

Life sKills

There are 10 life skills. Therapy helps build these life skills, letting people thrive in all areas of life; personal and social life, work and education etc.

Life Skills- Decision making skills, problem solving skills, coping with stress, communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, creative thinking, self-awareness, empathy and emotional regulation.

We believe that therapy should be affordable to everybody. We believe healthcare is a universal human right and money should not come in the way of it. 

Our prices are affordable and negotiable and are not fixed. 

CollaboraTe

We use collaborative and facilitative process, where both the counsellor and client are involved in coming up with creative solutions, making decisions, implementing techniques, teaching skills which help and work for the individual.

The aim of therapy should always be to prepare the client to handle situations independently in the right way.

Coping and Growing

Coping is the thoughts and behaviors used to manage stress. Therapy teaches the right ways to cope that can help an individual come up with their own ways to cope and apply it to a stressful situation. Coping is very important in deciding whether stress will increase or decrease.  This also involves the homework of client trying to apply strategies learnt in their lives.

Social Support Systems

Relationships are one of the most important things in our lives. Building and maintaining healthy and positive relationships are important for our well-being because they meet our needs. 

Therapy can help in healing relationships, applying skills and strategies so that our needs are met. It builds social resources for the individual.
